HMRC requires a minimum of address first line and post code for a successful Gift Aid submission. The donor address is entered as part of creating a donor record.

Fund Filer validates for correct post codes as part of its short submission process. If problems are found, these are highlighted. The system allows corrections to be made from within the process to save re-starting the claim. Problems like this are only likely to be found with imported data.

Fund Filer will insist on a Post Code and will validate it at the time of entering the data on donor records created within the system. Addresses without valid UK post codes are only permitted if the 'overseas donor' tick box is checked.
